Events & Activities

These are available for anyone, anywhere who wants to find simple ways to relax, to understand themselves and their habits more, to feel better than they have recently or simply wants to add another tool to their kit. We all have mental health and need to take care of ourselves, particularly in these very challenging times. I love to share my growing knowledge with other people to provide support and inspiration.

Most of my sessions can be adapted to run as one hour overviews or sets of weekly classes on a timetable to suit you. I run them for community or special interest groups, the general public, schools, businesses and anyone else who would benefit. Beginners' Writing for Wellbeing

Wednesday 18th May, 7:00pm - 8:30pm

This is an introductory session for anyone who wants to give Writing for Wellbeing a try but doesn't really know what to expect. Using a series of gentle writing prompts, this workshop aims to help you process thoughts, feelings and find meaning by making connections for personal development, relief from stress and anxiety or generally to improve mental health. There is no right or wrong way to do this.

What you’ll need:

  • a pen/pencil and notebook. Ideally this would be new or at least unused, something you will enjoy writing in.
  • an open mind

What you won’t need:

  • to do any preparation
  • any previous writing experience
  • to stick to correct grammar, punctuation or spelling

Pre-weekend Guided Relaxation

Friday 6th May, 9:30am - 10:15am

Phew! It's Friday and the weekend is fast approaching. Has it been a long week? Do you need to de-stress? You can find space here for rest and calm so that you can enjoy your weekend more.

This session will last between 20 - 30 minutes with time minutes either side of this for arriving and coming round at the end.

All you need to do for this session is get comfortable as I guide you through breathing exercises, relaxing your body, gentle positive visualisations and stories. So you don't really need to do anything but show up and enjoy! No previous experience necessary :-)

Writing for Stress Relief

Wednesday 11th May, 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Using a series of gentle writing prompts on the theme of ‘Stress Relief’, this workshop aims to help you explore and process uncomfortable thoughts and feelings within a safe space. Participants will leave with a new coping mechanism and hopefully a new perspective.
